    Job Description

    Reporting to the Global Head of Security, the Associate IT Security Director will oversee the execution of day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives which move forward OSF’s Security mission.  Key responsibilities will include managing the daily demands of a growing and changing global Security operation, including management of security polices, controls, global security standards and communications. The role will be responsible for carrying out the vision and strategic direction of Global Head of Security. Reporting to the Global Head of IT Security in New York. Some regular travel across the US and occasional travel to the EU is required.

    The Southeast Asia Program Officer works collaboratively both within the Southeast Asia Program and the larger Open Society Foundations (OSF) as well as with external entities to carry out a variety of responsibilities directed towards OSF’s overriding goal of promoting open societies around the world.

    Based in London, the Southeast Asia Program Officer will be part of the Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) team and will report to the Southeast Asia Regional Manager, with a focus on strategy development and implementation, policy analysis, and advocacy to promote the Program’s vision. The position requires a deep understanding of the landscape of activism in the region and a strong strategic sense of the avenues for change in the Southeast Asian context, both within the government and civil society.

    The Southeast Asia Unit Manager is responsible for the effective functioning of the Southeast Asia Program overall, and ultimately to maintaining and strengthening OSF as a whole. The Southeast Asia Unit Manager provides bold strategic vision and leadership on all matters related to the program’s strategy, management, governance, and budget.

    Based in London, the position will report to the Regional Director for Asia Pacific. As a key member of the Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) senior management team, the Southeast Asia Unit Manager is expected to exercise judgment in their work, using supervisory consultation for more complex issues, but making most determinations and recommendations based on their own insights and informed through consultation or collaboration with others.
