WFP Centre invites submissions of original essays showing the bridges between durable agricultural practices and school feeding
As part of its 5-year anniversary celebration, the Centre of Excellence against Hunger, in partnership with the University Centre of Brasília, are conducting a Research Papers Contest themed “Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security: Building Bridges between Durable Agricultural Practices and School Feeding Programmes”.
The competition aims to identify and foster research centres and educational groups worldwide with expertise in food and nutritional security in order to support the generation and dissemination of knowledge, and promote the integration of science and politics in the food and nutritional security research field.
The contest is open to students enrolled in graduate programmes in any part of the world, as well as professors and graduated researchers in International Law, International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Economics, Nutrition Sciences, Agrarian Sciences or other related fields.
The three top winners will take part in international study trips organized by the WFP Centre of Excellence. In addition, the best five entries (including the top three) will be published in 2017 as complete research papers in the Brazilian Journal of International Law, a leading scientific magazine in Brazil.
Manuscripts must be written exclusively in English and must not exceed 8,000 words.
The deadline for submission is 07 February 2017.
