Host an Intern/Volunteer


The Development Connection Internship and Volunteers Placement Programme welcomes companies and organizations to host interns and volunteers.  Our applicants study a variety of fields such as accounting, communications, computer information systems, finance, human resources, international business, management, marketing, and public administration, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, international development, community psychology, social works and social administration, among others

Our Internship Placement Program matches the best possible candidates to your organization’s needs. In order to start the matching process, you simply need to submit a placement request to our organization and meet our host organization requirements. These can be provided to you on request. In your request, kindly include responses to the role description guidance provided below.

The Internship/ Volunteer Role Description:

  • Brief description of the type of tasks/projects the intern will be assigned
  • How many hours you need an intern per week (part-time is typically between 10-20 hours per week)
  • If the internship is paid (part-time or full-time) or unpaid (part-time only)
  • Duration of the internship (typically 3 months, but can be longer)
  • If you seek specific majors (finance, marketing, accounting, etc.) or academic level (undergraduate, MBA)
  • Any specific computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and/or language skills you require
  • Any other requirements (academic credit, Citizenship status, work permit, GPA minimum, etc.)
