Background

Restless Development is the global agency for youth-led development that supports young people to demand and deliver a just and sustainable world for all. The organization is guided by four goals i.e. to ensure that young people have a voice (active citizens), realize sexual reproductive health and rights (SRH&R), are leaders in preventing and solving the world’s challenges and that they have improved Livelihoods.

About the Get Up Speak Up Volunteer Programme

Restless Development is implementing the Get up Speak out Programme (GUSO) – integrated with International Citizen Service Program (ICS). This is an integrated programme which builds on Restless Development’s youth-led model of social and behavioural change with the ultimate aim of increasing access to SRH&R information, services, livelihoods opportunities, and active participation in community development. The programme is to be implemented in rural communities of Jinja and Mayuge districts.

Eligibility

  • You are a young Ugandan aged 18-28
  •  You interested in contributing to improving youth sexual reproductive health and rights, and development issues
  • You have keen interest in youth-led education and research
  • You are passionate about edutainment i.e. music, dance and drama
  • You are committed to the principle of volunteering to support community development
  • You have a minimum of A’ Level education
  • You are available between February and August 2018

The deadline for submitting your application form is 5th January 2018 and Restless Development offices both in Jinja and Kampala will be open to receive applications between 5th to 15th December 2017, and 3rd to 5th January 2018.
